The brand new Impressed Butterdish is expertly handmade and will go from the fridge to the countertop and brighten up your morning toast. After many years of choosing between the tin foil wrapper or the 80’s stainless steel, I have finally made a butter dish I am happy to entertain with.
The Impressed Butterdish is made from flat pieces of clay formed and joined to make a functional base and lid of the dish. The clay has been textured front and back with wallpaper patterns. Then a bright wash of colour is applied before the cheeseboards are finished with a food safe glaze.
The wallpaper patterns have a nostalgic feel which gives a warm reminder of stylised botanical patterns in traditional textiles and home furnishings. This nostalgia gives a homely and familiar feeling which is combined with simple utilitarian forms designed to solve modern problems and suit contemporary lives.
“I choose to make pieces to suit the current realisation of my dream life. When I am not making pots, I am most happy sharing food and wine with my friends and family”
Use the drop-down box to choose between three surface patterns Blue Deco, Ruby Damask, Green Seeds and Midnight Flora.
Each piece is carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and a branded gift box before wrapping for the post to ensure its safe journey to you.
