I love all these popular references to our most comfortable spot
I am launching a new gift range, “Home Comforts”, which features well known, familiar Irish phases about the home such as, “There’s No Place Like Home” and “Home Again, Home Again, Jiggety Jig”.
I have created simple line-drawn houses sit on a ceramic tile with a colourful lace texture and have a bright glossy red heart to draw the eye. The range includes a simple framed tile, a tall slender vase and a wide shallow bowl.
The range will be heading out to stores nationwide over the next few weeks.
I keep a journal of lyrics, quotes and meaningful phases ring true to me and many of my existing pieces include text:
“I love to use a line or quote that strikes a happy cord in your memory; the phrases I’ve chosen for the ‘Home Comforts’ range are those we’d hear throughout Ireland and some farther afield…however they do feel intrinsically linked to my home.”
