A subtly textured tile with a line drawing of a mountain top with the text the motivational and inspirational quote stamped by hand into the wet clay. The image is handpainted with underglazes in a watercolour style and then coated with a gloss glaze to give it a high shine permanent finish. A firing of 1200’c and then a glaze firing to 1080’c provides the tile with its glossy lasting finish. The ceramic plaque is then mounted in a white wooden frame made here in Dundalk giving this art piece of Irish craft a local provenance and a low carbon footprint.
