Sing farewell to Carlingford – Journey Framed Ceramic Wall Art

A handmade ceramic tile impressed with a modern geometric pattern is adorned with a simple line drawing of a Slieve Foy overlooking Carlingford Village and Carlingford Lough, with a bright yellow glossy crescent moon in the sky.

Imprinted with the text “So, I’ll sing farewell to Carlingford & farewell to Greenore”. It is the story of a man whose main aim in life was to follow the call of the sea. His girlfriend, Mary Doyle, hoped he would stay on dry land, but along with his love of freedom, the sea was in his blood, and when called – he would obey! Written by Tommy Makem and recorded by many artists, including the well-loved version by The Dubliners with vocals by Luke Kelly.

The ceramic tile, which is textured with wallpaper patterns, is formed from flat pieces of clay framed in a white wooden frame without glass, made here in Dundalk.

“The Journey Wall Art collection, a celebration of Irish heritage. These handcrafted pieces feature unique illustrations of local landmarks and heartfelt inscriptions and connect people to their roots.”

Each piece of Irish pottery is carefully wrapped in tissue, bubble wrap, corrugated card and boxed to ensure its safe journey to you.
