Finally my updated Logo

For years I have wanted to introduce some of the colour I use in my work and love in my live to my logo – for some reason it just wouldn’t put it self together. Finally it’s here!!

It wasn’t easy over 18 months ago I brainstormed with my soon to be bro in law and awesome graff artist/graphic designer Baz from Thinking Cap and I wanted was cool calm in grey, let the pieces speak for themselves.

I was going to have to figure this out the hard way. My assistant Natasha worked hard with ideas for months but it still wasn’t working for me. I think having a creative or a maker as a client must be the worst task ever!

So I made some tiles, got going on the photocopier and started cutting up little bits of pattern!!

So I’ve finally felt brave enough to add the colour that is really me to my logo

Sarah McKenna

Sarah McKenna has been developing her unique handmade Irish pottery at Bridge Street Studios since 1999. Before returning to Dundalk she studied Ceramics at Duncan of Jordonstone College of Art & Design, the University of Dundee, Scotland where she gained a Bachelor of Ceramic Design.

Sarah’s work has always been engaged in the process and the early studio work was concerned with smoke firing and raku firing sculptural vessel forms. In 2006 Sarah started producing a range of quirky customisable ceramics giftware which is the beginning of what you can purchase today. Read more here.
